Nutrition

Educating people in developing countries on the importance of nutrition and maternal and child health is one of SoSec’s primary goals. We work in vulnerable communities across hemispheres to improve the health of mothers, children, and infants. We understand that their well-being determines the health of the next generation.

SoSec works closely with international organizations, national governments, and local communities in designing programs, developing policies, and monitoring and evaluating surveys. This ultimately contributes to the improved nutrition of vulnerable groups, such as infants, children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers, in underprivileged communities of developing countries.

We provide expert services in the following areas:

  • Breastfeeding
  • Infant Young Child Feeding Practices (IYCF)
  • Food fortification
  • Communication
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Capacity building
  • Anthropometry
